Small Business Saturday Spotlight- Caroline York Photography

I am so excited to feature Caroline York today for my first Small Business Saturday post of 2018! I ran in to Caroline in Uptown Charlotte right before Christmas and I was happy to hear she was starting her own photography business. I have always admired Caroline's work ethic and drive to become a successful entrepenuer. She was a teacher and then became a small business owner before deciding to pursue her passion of photography. I was thrilled when she asked to come and photograph the girls and I because I had seen her work and knew she was extremely talented. We had the best time when we got together the day before emmy and elle turned three. She was comfortably laid back but professional and the girls took to her right away. She was able to capture what our everyday life is like and that is exactly what I wanted from the shoot...crazy, hectic, loud, fun, but most importantly, so much love. 

Caroline exceeded my expectations because she edited and sent the pictures the same day as the shoot. She told me that quick turn around is what she wants to be known for and always wants to go above and beyond to make her clients happy. She was also super encouraging with making me feel confident while taking pictures. I highly recommend Caroline York Photography for anyone in the Charlotte area. Caroline also said she is willing to travel and wants to capture all of life's important moments from birth, to family portraits, graduation, and especially weddings. She loves love and can capture it so well. She is the definition of an artist and I hope you enjoy reading her five fast facts as much as I did! Five Fast Facts by Caroline York of Caroline York Photography

I’m having my first baby in March! It is a baby girl and we are so excited. In an effort to share my story as Jessica graciously does to raise awareness of her life with multiples and all she has endured, I had an ectopic pregnancy last December and hyperemesis gravidarum with this baby. I’d love to support anyone who has questions about either, and be a voice for the women and families who are challenged with these obstacles in their will to have a baby. 

I love people and relationships. I love their journeys and it fulfills me to be a a part of them. I was an elementary school teacher for 8 years in South Charlotte, opened and ran Pure Barre SouthPark for two years, and am now focusing on photography full time. I’m so thankful to my husband for always supporting my dreams and cheering me on endlessly! I am so lucky to be on this adventure we call life with an amazing team of cheerleaders on my side.

I love taking pictures because I love keeping my eyes and lens on the blessings of life and the joy in each day. Capturing the happiest times for families is a dream come true & I would be so grateful to share in your family’s journey! I also pride myself in a quick turnaround for photos. I know the excitement following a shoot and commit to getting the pictures to you within a week of the shoot (sooner if requested!) Life is busy and I totally understand that sometimes these things are last minute!

I fully trust Gods plan for my life and try to carefully listen to my purpose. Life can be crazy and I am so grateful to have a grace giving and forgiving God who loves me and always has my best interest at heart!

I live a healthy lifestyle and love to exercise and cook healthy meals! I recently joined the new Lifetime Fitness in Ballantyne. It is AMAZING! If you live in the area, definitely check it out! After baby I’ll likely teach some classes there as well.
