Mooseclumps- interactive music for toddlers and kids!

On Saturday I had the pleasure of introducing the awesome new company called, ToddlerTalking. The amazing ladies behind ToddlerTalking, Lindsey and Rebecca, wrote about five tips to help increase your toddlers speech and language development. The fourth tip on the list really caught my eye because it is about singing. emmy and elle love to sing and dance so I want to add even more of their passion to our daily routine after reading it can help with their language development. ToddlerTalking suggested to, "Sing songs. Research has shown that singing stimulates the same area in the brain where language is located. Singing any song can be beneficial but singing nursery rhymes and other children’s song is great too and can teach so many concepts (5 little monkeys, itsy bitsy spider, Mary had a little lamb). Using a sing-song voice while saying everyday phrases is beneficial as well (For example:  To the tune of Frere Jacques—We’re getting dressed, we’re getting dressed, put on a shirt, put on a shirt, etc)."

I was extra excited when a college friend messaged me last week to catch up and told me about her husbands new passion project, a kid-friendly YouTube channel called Mooseclumps. I immediately checked it out and want to share it with all of you because I think it is the future of child entertainment! They have created and published four awesome songs so far on their YouTube channel. The songs are catchy, educational, and the music videos are high quality and overall excellent kid entertainment. We have been listening to the four songs on repeat the past few days and are obsessed! We cannot wait for them to create even more songs because they definitely have made emmy and elle big fans of their music! The videos are perfect for babies, toddlers, and preschool/early elementary aged kids. I highly encourage everyone to check them out and support these awesome artists who are local to North Carolina.

Christina, wife to Chase, was super helpful and sent me some information about the dads behind the vision of Mooseclumps. Christina, thank you for making me aware of Mooseclumps. I am so happy to pass along our new entertainment sensation to all of my readers! Have fun checking out the videos below and make sure to subscribe to their YouTube channel for future songs!

Sing, learn, and create with Mooseclumps, an irresistible collection of original children’s songs that capture the hearts of little ones and set their imaginations to music.

Mooseclumps is a brand new educational YouTube channel for toddlers who love to sing and dance. Its two co-creators, Chase and Ryan, have been best friends for over 20 years. “We’ve always wanted to collaborate creatively, but never quite found that perfect passion project. That all changed in early 2017. As parents of young children, we noticed that it’s really hard to find fun, educational YouTube videos for kids that don’t involve annoying songs, seizure-inducing light shows, or surprise eggs. We wanted something smart and interactive that our kids would truly enjoy watching. And just like that, Mooseclumps was born! The channel is a homemade collaboration between two young dads trying to write catchy songs with useful messages for children of all ages (that hopefully don’t drive parents crazy).”

A UNC School of Law graduate, proud father of 3 boys, lawyer by day, and award-winning children's author by night, Ryan Bliss is the face and voice of Mooseclumps. With his collection of short children's poems (of the same name), Ryan was awarded gold and silver medals at the 2013 Moonbeam Awards and 2013 Reader’s Favorite Book Awards, respectively. Having a lifelong love for music and theater, Ryan's musical talent and charisma shine in Mooseclumps' educational and pop-friendly music videos.

Once a software user-experience designer at IBM, Chase Holfelder quit the 9-to-5 in 2014 to focus on his blooming new YouTube music channel. He'd been a singer for a touring pop-rock bands in his early 20s, so he jumped at the newfound popularity he was gaining on the social network. Chase's channel has since grown to over 360,000 subscribers and 32 million views, and has been shared by the likes of Taylor Swift, George Takei, and Ashton Kutcher. He is the proud father of two.

Ryan and Chase write, record, produce, and edit all of Mooseclumps' songs and videos in their entirey at Chase's house in Apex, NC.
